Weedfree On Track employs a GIS tracking tool to manage all spraying restrictions. Through a combination of advanced GPS systems and bespoke tracking software, the train can automatically shut off upon arriving at a sensitive area.

The system allows operators to monitor the railway network for upcoming sites and allows them to setup a pre-determined buffer distance so that an automated audible warning system sounds when the train nears a sensitive area.

Post spraying, the train can produce reports to demonstrate that sensitive sites were adhered to correctly. This can be accompanied by recorded spray footage which is continuously taken throughout the spraying process.
